FAQ
For how long can I be issued a TRC based on work?
The validity period of the residence card based on work depends on the period for which you are intended to be employed, which is indicated by the employer when filling out document Attachment nr. 1.
I submitted my documents for TRC and changed employers. What should I do?
You have to inform Immigration Department about the change of employer and provide a new set of documents from the new employer.
Can I apply for a work-based residence permit if I'm a student?
Technically, yes, but the key factor here is the document under which you entered Poland. Staying in the country on a student visa does not entitle you to apply for a residence permit on the basis of the job.
Can I work for another employer after receiving a residence permit?
If you have already received a residence permit based on your employment, when changing employers, you must notify Immigration Department of your resignation within 15 days of your resignation. Within the next 15 days, you must find a new employer and initiate the process to change the employer specified in your residence permit decision. Failure to comply with these conditions may result in the cancellation of your residence permit.
